With a team that went 2-10, there are a lot of things I would like to see improved, but here are the top 3.
1. Offensive Line Play
Arkansas offensive line was not good last year. Our rushing numbers were awful. We ranked 13th in the SEC, and 99th National in running yards. Obviously it wasn't the running backs because both of them are on the Doak Walker watch list. With another spring practice, fall camp, and a second year in the system, the offensive line should be better.
2. Better Wide Receiver Routes
I specifically remember multiple times receivers giving up on routes. They would just stop running the route. Also, I can't tell you how many times I saw the QB hand go up in the air after throwing the ball because the WR ran the wrong route. I honestly just want to see our QBs and WR on the same page when running a pass play. That would help a lot.
3. Pass Rush
Last season, Arkansas's pass rush was horrific. We struggled to get to the QB to say the least. This stat shows when you look at the passing states of last years passing numbers. Arkansas ranked 11th in the against the pass and 87th nationally. I want to see the Arkansas defense get after the QB if anything this year. I believe getting pressure on the QB will lead to more turn overs and better secondary play. When you give a QB a lot of time, they can pick any defense apart because Defensive backs can only cover WRs for so long.
